Well, I upgrade for the version 5.5.47 using CUDA software in the preferences from my Mac, remembering that this graphics card is the original for my Mac. Well, it installed ok without any problem. So I decided to download CUDA-Z, a third-party program to check if 8800 GT 1st generation really runs CUDA or not and for my surprise it accuses. The NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT card requires Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later with the Leopard Graphics Update 1.0 or the computer may not start up properly. In order to get the most out of your new MacVidCards GPU you may need to install new drivers for your current version of OS X. Please note that AMD GPUs do not require additional drivers; they are built directly into OS X.
Nvidia GPUs receive driver updates soon after each version update of OS X. Only one driver is released by Nvidia and it includes support for all of their modern GPUs.
