If you liked Eyeshield, you'd like Prince of Tennis because both have to do with self determination and team sports.

Prince of Tennis and Eyeshield are both about sports (obviously) and they give you the same feeling. In both anime, a team wants to get to the top together, and both are filled with comedy.

Both Prince of Tennis and Eyeshield 21 are funny to watch and will get you interested in theirs sports, or at least get you to want to try. Like many sports anime, they show that the determination and teamwork are needed for their players to win.

I think the first thing you'll notice more than anything if you've watched both of these is that the main characters look identical. That aside, they do share many similarities. In Eyeshield 21, Sena is a guy constantly made fun of who joins the football team and becomes its ace. In Hitman Reborn, Tsuna, another guy who is constantly being made fun of at school (btw.. EVEN THEIR NAMES SOUND THE SAME!), takes up the job of becoming the successor of the Vongola Family, a mafia family from Italy. The subjects of the anime are pretty different, but the character designs will definitely remind you of both anime because of some of the outrageously-designed characters. I don't know if they are or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if Eyeshield 21 and Hitman Reborn are made by the same people.

Eyeshield 21 and Katekyoushi Hitman reborn both revolve around a same coming of age type story. Sena Kobayakowa, a 'wimp' starts out with no friends and makes new friends by playing american football. Tsunayoshi Sawada, is the same type of character. After getting a 'Home tutor' he starts to come from 'No Good Tsuna' to a regular guy.

Well, both anime are comedy action/sport. Main characters are similiar in both looks and characters. They are funny and enjoyable story's that are good to watch after some heavy series Berserk/Gungrave/ X TV. And most of all they are a long running series, Eyeshield has already 130+ eps and Hitman is closing in to 100 episodes.

Both Slam Dunk and Eyeshield are really funny. In the most unexpected places - especially when nearly about to lose a game - the main characters end up doing something funny that will make you laugh. Both anime get you really interested in their respective sports, and show the determination and trust needed by each member of a team in order to win a game.

The main characters in both anime start to play American Football and Basketball, respectively, even though they know nothing about their respective sports nor do they like them. The difference is that, in Slam Dunk, Sakuragi wants to impress Haruko, while in Eyeshield 21, Sena is forced by Hiruma to play.

Well, plot is very similar, as it is at almost every sport anime, but there are more than that. They have so much in common. There are older players, who have only this last year to achieve their dream - to be the best team. There are newbies, who are incredibly good and are improving at incredibly fast rate. There are deliquents and idiots too. And all of them have strong will to help the team at all cost.. And of course the feeling is also very similar, both of them have comedy elements in it (of course, that slam dunk is old fashion wave) and yeah, there's that anoying thing when can be so much time spend in just about one second of game, sometimes it's irritating, but if you overcome it, you can enjoy really great and pleasant show.
